It’s available for female high school seniors. This scholarship also sponsors women who want to be automotive technicians. All female applicants have to enroll in an ASE-certified automotive technology program after graduation from high school.
Automotive Women’s Alliance: The Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation offers 1 scholarship every quarter to a woman who wants career in the automotive industry. The Michigan-based organization offers $2,500. All applicants have to maintain a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) for the period in which their scholarship is funded.
Women’s Automotive Association International: This association supports its members and their families. They also encourage women to have a career in the automotive industry. It’s awarded annually.
Governor’s Office announced in Vineland, Millville that $1000 sholarships will be available to 1000 students under Gov. Chris Christie’s proposed Urban Scholarship Program. The scholarship will be open to low-income students in this area.
In order to qualify for this scholarship students:
Must be in the top 5 percent of their class.
Must have at least a 3.0 grade point average.
Can attend a public, charter, vocational or nonpublic high school.
Must be a resident in the eligible town for at least 12 months prior to graduation and upon college enrollment.
All of the applicants have to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, and they should meet the income eligibility requirements under the state’s Tuition Aid Grant, or TAG, Program.
According to the announcement:
For the 2011-12 academic year, the average family income of TAG recipients is less than $23,100. TAG grants this year provide between $2,500 and $11,000 to low-income full-time college students statewide attending a community college or public or private four-year college in the state.

Talented young Canadian girl - Kate Morrison - won a $75,000 Loran Award scholarship. 3800 Candian students applied for this scholarship, 2 of Kate’s very close friends – Mark Anderson and Connor Anear - were alo among the finalists. She attended a two-day interview competition in Toronto.
In order to qualify students must have at least 85% average in school and extracurricular activities also count. Kate has always been an active member of the student representative council and since early childhood she has also been dancing.
It’s the McGill University in Montreal where she wants to continue to study and she is very happy that she won this fabolous scholarship. She is interested in healthcare delivery and in bioethics. Unfortunately her grandmother died of cancer and her grandfather’s cancer diagnosis led to her interest in health-care issues.
Yorktown Mall (N.Y) offer scholarship to high school students in the surrounding area. This scholarship is part of the Simon Youth Foundation and it’s offered to one student in every community home to a Simon property.

Students can pick up a copy of the application at the Simon Guest Services Center at the mall, or online here. The application period ends on Thursday, March 1. Any student who plans to graduate in 2012 and lives within 50 miles of a Simon property is eligible. The scholarship is for up to $1,400 to a student who has plans to enroll in an accredited college, university, vocational or technical school.
